Crystal Renee Hayslett

Crystal Renee Hayslett is an actress, singer, and host known for her popular role as ‘Fatima’ on BET’s number-one scripted show, SISTAS. Her performance throughout the seven seasons as the fan-favorite character spawned her very own spinoff series titled ZATIMA, which became an instant hit and will premiere its third season on BET+ this year. Crystal can be seen showcasing her acting and singing talents starring as ‘Natalie’ in PRAISE THIS – the Will Packer Productions and Universal Pictures feature film currently streaming on Peacock, with plans to turn it into a multi-picture franchise.

A passion for personal growth and a desire to empower women led Crystal to create Keep it Positive, Sweetie. Affectionately known as KIPS, the podcast is a sanctuary of vulnerability where people are encouraged to explore and share their thoughts on everything from spirituality and love to healing and self-discovery, and ideas and experiences in between. Most recently, Crystal brought KIPS to the stage with a live taping in Atlanta in March 2024. The live show sold out in 48 hours and featured notable guests including Eva Marcille, DeVon Franklin, Tyler Perry, Bishop T.D. Jakes, as well as a musical performance by Crystal alongside a live band.

A native to Martin, TN, Crystal received her bachelor’s degree in mass communication and public relations from the University of Tennessee at Martin. After working for the United States Senate in Washington, D.C., she moved to Atlanta in 2010 to pivot her career to acting and music and found a home at Tyler Perry Studios in the Costume Department. Crystal became Tyler Perry’s personal stylist before landing her first major TV role on SISTAS in 2019. Committed to her craft, she currently trains with the Speiser/Sturges Acting Studio.
